Brussels - The Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels will present "Women in Parliament", a contemporary adaptation of Aristophanes’ classic comedy curated by actress, playwright, and theatre teacher Lisa Capaccioli.
The performance will feature students from the Institute’s theatre course, who embarked on a creative journey of experimentation, improvisation, and reinterpretation inspired by the original text. Through original writing and personal contributions, the participants transformed Aristophanes’ sharp satire into a collective contemporary dramaturgy.
The production explores themes of power, social change, and political irony, blending classical theatre with modern perspectives.
The show will take place on June 1 at 8:30 p.m. at the theatre of the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels, offering audiences a lively encounter between classical heritage and contemporary creativity.
