New York – After a series of successful European editions, SMAU's international roadshow is taking a major strategic step by launching its first-ever event in the United States. SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in New York will take place from June 10 to 12, marking a significant milestone in the international expansion of Italy's innovation ecosystem and strengthening ties with one of the world's most dynamic and competitive markets. The event is organized in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA/ICE), a long-standing strategic partner of SMAU. "Bringing SMAU to New York means placing Italian innovation where the future of global technology is being shaped," said Valentina Sorgato, CEO of SMAU. "This is not only about opening new markets, but also about building strategic relationships, attracting investment, and creating the conditions for Italian companies to compete internationally. Italy has a strong portfolio of innovative and market-ready solutions, and this event is a key step toward accelerating their growth and impact." The program opens on June 10 with an inaugural networking evening at the Consulate General of Italy in New York. The following day, the Sixth Floor Loft in Union Square will host the core of the event, featuring B2B meetings, networking sessions and thematic panels focused on the role of innovation and collaboration between startups, corporations and investors in building internationally connected ecosystems. The New York edition will showcase 33 selected Italian startups, alongside corporate leaders and innovation stakeholders. Delegations from several Italian regions will also participate, including Emilia-Romagna with ART-ER, Friuli Venezia Giulia with Select Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Lazio with Lazio Innova.
