Brussels – To mark the 80th anniversary of the Italy-Belgium migration agreement, the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Brussels, in collaboration with the Consulate General in Brussels and Dante Alighieri Genk-Brussels, will host a screening of the film “Marina” on June 17 at 7:00 PM. The movie is a biopic based on the life of the Italian singer-songwriter and actor Rocco Granata.
The evening will feature a conversation with Maestro Michelino Bisceglia, a Belgian of Italian descent, pianist, and the composer behind the film's soundtrack. Bisceglia has worked with numerous prestigious international jazz musicians and scored multiple feature films showcased at major international festivals, including Cannes and the Venice Film Festival. The Maestro, who won a World Soundtrack Award at the Ghent Film Festival in 2014 for best original score, will also perform a musical interlude featuring selected pieces from the film’s soundtrack.
