Hamburg — The inaugural edition of the Tanztriennale is currently underway in Hamburg, transforming the Hanseatic city into a global hub for contemporary dance until June 21. Italy is making a strong showing at the festival, represented by acclaimed choreographers Chiara Bersani and Chiara Frigo, who are set to present three distinct performances.
Bersani will take the stage at the Kampnagel theater on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, at 7:00 PM with her piece “Michel – The Animals I Am.” She will perform again on Sunday, June 21, at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM with her celebrated work “Seeking Unicorns” at the Hamburger Kunsthalle. Meanwhile, Chiara Frigo will present her dance performance “A Human Song” on the outdoor platform in front of the Hamburger Kunsthalle on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, at 4:00 PM.
The performances are supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture (Directorate General for Live Performance) and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hamburg.
