Tokyo’s Italian Cultural Institute to host book club on Tiziano Scarpa’s "Stabat Mater"
Tokyo – The Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo is set to feature Tiziano Scarpa’s award-winning novel Stabat Mater as the centerpiece of its upcoming Book Club meeting. This casual gathering aims to foster lively discussion and rediscover the allure of modern Italian literature.
The discussion will focus on the newly released 2026 Japanese translation by Nakayama Etsuko. To ensure a welcoming and collaborative environment for local readers, the event is open to the public and will be conducted entirely in Japanese. The book club will meet in the institute’s library.
