Budapest – Italy's Quintetto Atlántico will perform at the Budapest Jazzfest on June 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fonó Buda Music House. In 2024, acclaimed Italian saxophonist Enzo Favata revived the legendary ensemble after an eighteen-year hiatus. The group invites audiences on a musical journey inspired by the rich literary traditions of South America, where the spirit of writers such as Jorge Luis Borges, Luis Sepúlveda, Gabriel García Márquez, Osvaldo Soriano, and other great masters echoes through its richly woven melodies. The ensemble features Enzo Favata (soprano saxophone, bass clarinet and Andean flute), Daniele di Bonaventura (bandoneon), Marcello Peghin (ten-string guitar), Salvatore Maltana (double bass), and U.T. Gandhi (percussion). (9colonne)
