Tyniec – Italian pianist Leonora Armellini will perform at 4 p.m. on Sunday, 5 July, in the Petrus Hall of the Benedictine Abbey of Tyniec, Poland. The free concert will officially open the third edition of the Tyniec Chamber Recitals, a summer festival running from 5 July to 30 August that will feature five performances combining classical music, jazz and cultural events in one of the most historic and treasured sites in the Małopolska region. This year's edition is dedicated entirely to the theme "Women in Music." The programme highlights the contribution of women as performers, instrumentalists and composers, showcasing distinguished artists from Poland and abroad. Armellini was the first Italian woman to reach the highest ranks of the prestigious International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, where she received the Janina Nawrocka Prize in 2010 and won the Fifth Prize at the 2021 edition. The event is organised by Tynieckie Recitale Kameralne and the Fundacja Chronić Dobro przy opactwie Benedyktynów w Tyńcu in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Kraków. (9colonne)
