Montevideo – Widely regarded as the artistic heir to Dario Fo, actor, playwright and contemporary storyteller Matthias Martelli will perform Mistero Buffo, by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, at Montevideo's Teatro Solís on 15 July at 8 p.m. The production, directed by Eugenio Allegri, has surpassed 250 performances in Italy and abroad, touring cities from Milan to London and Los Angeles. Throughout the run, Martelli has demonstrated his ability to blend physical theatre, irony, political satire and poetic storytelling. The performance in Uruguay is part of the celebrations marking the centenary of the birth of Dario Fo. (9colonne)
