Chicago – Every summer, Live on the Lake! transforms Chicago's lakefront into a vibrant open-air music venue, featuring leading local bands alongside regional, national and international artists. Held at the iconic Navy Pier on the shores of Lake Michigan, the festival turns one of Chicago's best-known landmarks into a stage for live music. Weekend performances span a wide range of musical styles, offering audiences an immersive experience in one of the city's most scenic settings. This year's edition will feature Italian-Swiss harpist and composer Kety Fusco, whose appearance on July 26 is presented with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago.Widely regarded as one of the most innovative voices in contemporary music, Fusco combines classical training with electronic music and experimental techniques, redefining the harp as an instrument capable of exploring entirely new sonic landscapes that bridge the avant-garde, club culture and cinematic soundscapes. Her performances have taken her to some of the world's most prestigious festivals and venues, including London's Royal Albert Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Italy's Sanremo Music Festival, Venice's Teatro La Fenice and SXSW in the United States. Her artistic work has earned recognition from leading cultural institutions and media outlets such as The Guardian, BBC Radio and ARTE France, as well as the support of acclaimed artists including Iggy Pop, who collaborated on her album Bohème.
