Dublin – From July 23 through December, the Farmleigh Gallery in Dublin will host "Vision – Contemporary Photography from EU Member States," a photographic exhibition showcasing works from across the European Union. Supported by Ireland's Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, the exhibition is organized by the Office of Public Works in collaboration with the embassies of the EU Member States and numerous European cultural institutions. It forms part of Ireland's cultural program for its Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Each EU Member State was invited to select a single work, offering visitors a broad overview of the diverse creative approaches of photographers working across Europe. Every artist contributes a distinct personal perspective through the medium of photography. The Italian Cultural Institute and the Embassy of Italy in Dublin are supporting the participation of internationally acclaimed Italian photographer Franco Fontana. (9colonne)
