New York – To mark the publication of their latest book, 2001–2026: From Giuliani to Mamdani – New York 25 Years After 9/11, journalists Maria Teresa Cometto and Glauco Maggi will appear at the Italian Cultural Institute on 10 September for a conversation with Director Claudio Pagliara. Cometto and Maggi were in New York on 11 September 2001 and witnessed the terrorist attacks first-hand. In their new book, they explore the resilience of a city that has repeatedly reinvented itself. Today, New York is less defined by Wall Street and increasingly shaped by the technology sector. It is safer and home to a growing number of museums and cultural institutions, while also becoming more expensive and more deeply divided politically. Yet it continues to shine with an irrepressible spirit of renewal. (9colonne)
