Tokyo – Pinocchio Here and There, a new performance created and performed by Dario Moretti, will receive its world premiere at the auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo on 28 July at 6.30 pm. Produced by Teatro all'Improvviso 2026, the show is brought to life entirely through drawings, animated objects and silhouettes, taking audiences on a journey through the world of Pinocchio. Inspired by Carlo Collodi's classic novel, it combines imagery and music to create a visually engaging narrative. Using a video camera and projector, Moretti creates and interprets the performance live, with the projected images accompanied by an original score composed by Saya Namikawa. Commissioned by the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo to mark the 200th anniversary of Carlo Collodi's birth, the production is suitable for both adults and children aged three and over. (9colonne)
