Stanford – A series of performances across the US, at schools and universities in California, Texas, Arkansas and Illinois, will bring Colpi di Maschera to audiences, a show written, directed and performed by Nicola Adobati and Domenico Piscopo alongside Martina Cavagnoli. As part of the tour, the production celebrating Commedia dell’arte will be performed at Stanford University at 7pm on 21 October. Rooted in centuries of Italian theatrical tradition, Colpi di Maschera demonstrates that the timeless masks of Commedia dell’arte continue to delight and resonate with audiences today. The show is organised by the Italian Consulates General in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Houston, and by the Italian Cultural Institutes in San Francisco and Los Angeles, in collaboration with Fondazione Italia and Burbank Public Library, as part of the celebrations for the 26th edition of Italian Language Week in the World.
