Madrid – Exploring the Italian language through poetry, voice and theatre is the central idea behind Poeti tutti! Poetando italiano…, an initiative organised by the Madrid Committee of the Società Dante Alighieri as part of Italian Language Week Around the World, taking place from 19 to 25 October. This year’s theme is “A Brilliant Language: Conceiving, Designing and Creating in Italian”. The initiative is supported by the Società Dante Alighieri’s headquarters and the Complutense University of Madrid, in collaboration with Milan-based cultural association Mondintermedi, Rome-based publisher Valore Italiano Editore, the Madrid branch of Associazione Mondi Lombardia and the Committee of Italians Abroad (ComItEs) in Madrid. From 19 to 21 October, the Complutense University of Madrid will host a journey into the language and poetry of Antonia Pozzi, combining reading, textual analysis, interpretation and stage practice. The theatre workshop will be free of charge and open to the public by reservation, turning engagement with poetry into an active, shared experience. Over the three days, individual and group work will gradually develop alongside the actors’ contributions. Ideas explored during the workshop will feed into the final staged reading, allowing participants to play an active role in the creative process and its realisation. The project will be led by Donatella Danzi, project coordinator and educational specialist; Giusi Danzi, educational specialist and actress; Sergio Colella, director and actor; and Leticia Pascual, actress. The programme will culminate on the evening of 21 October with Le voci di Antonia, a staged reading devoted to the poet’s life and work. Alongside the actors, workshop participants will also take to the stage to present the work developed during the sessions. (9colonne)
