Subotica - As part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, writer Antonio Cucciniello is taking his self-designed creative writing workshop, "Reclaiming the Soul" (Riprendiamoci l’anima), on a multi-city tour across Serbia. The initiative is organized with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade.
The tour kicks off on October 20 at 4:45 PM at the Belgrade Cultural Institute’s Media Library, followed by an 11:30 AM session on October 21 at the Faculty of Philology and Arts at the University of Kragujevac. The final leg takes place on October 22 at the Civic Museum of Subotica, featuring two sessions at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
Designed as an immersive exploration into emotional education, the workshop uses creative and autobiographical writing as a framework for self-knowledge, personal expression, and meaningful dialogue. Born out of a need to foster emotional growth among students, the program guides participants in recognizing, understanding, and communicating their inner experiences. Through prompts, short writing exercises, narrative prompts, and visual cues, students are encouraged to explore their inner worlds within a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space. Writing becomes a personal sanctuary, a place to give voice to emotions, reflect on pivotal moments, navigate difficult memories, and frame life's experiences through fresh perspectives. (9colonne)
