Fiere di Parma: Cibus 2027 sells out six months ahead of the show

Paris – With seven months to go before opening, Cibus 2027 is already sold out. More than 90% of the available exhibition space has been allocated, and all the major exhibitors have confirmed their return to Parma. The event is expected to bring together 3,000 brands and 3,500 buyers from 80 countries, with a special focus on South Korea. Fiere di Parma announced the figures and unveiled the first details of the next edition of Cibus on Sunday 18 October in Paris, during The Italian Aperitivo, a travelling event held at the Automobile Club de France. The exhibition is expected to feature 18 Italian regions and more than 50 organisations representing products with PDO, PGI and TSG certification. Certified food production will be one of the main themes of the 2027 edition, with a programme of meetings, in-depth discussions and demonstrations exploring the relationship between geographical origin, supply chains and the market. “Italy is strengthening its position at the heart of the international food business thanks to a combination that is difficult to replicate: a strong agri-food supply chain, distinctive production regions and two platforms, Cibus and TUTTOFOOD, capable of turning this industrial base into business relationships and international appeal,” said Antonio Cellie, Chief Executive of Fiere di Parma. “Competition is no longer simply between individual trade fairs, but between exhibition systems that are increasingly becoming market infrastructure, helping companies diversify their commercial outlets and establish a presence in more complex markets.” According to figures from AEFI, Italy is now the world’s fourth-largest exhibition market and the second-largest in Europe, with more than 4.2 million square metres of exhibition space. The sector generates an economic impact of €22.5 billion across local economies and supports around 203,000 jobs. In 2025, the amount of exhibition space sold increased by 5%, while businesses that exhibit at trade fairs recorded growth rates almost twice those of companies that do not use this channel.
