Las Palmas - Asteria Space, an Apulian cultural agency founded in 2018 by journalist and cultural manager Alessandra Savino, dedicated to promoting artists and cultural projects, will participate in Womex (Worldwide Music Expo) from October 22 to 24. Supported by Puglia Sounds Export – Fiere e Convention, the agency is attending one of the world's premier international trade fairs for world music, taking place this year in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The lineup presented in Las Palmas features five distinct projects by artists who embody the wide variety of languages, sensibilities, and creative paths active in the region's music scene: Pasqualino Beltempo with Se la vita fosse un musical, Natalia Abbascià with Picche Cause, Antonio Simone with To Giants, Eleonora Bianchini with A casa mia, and the Apulia Art Ensemble - led by maestro Livio Minafra - with their project Sulfureo.
"Participating in Womex means giving space and visibility to an Apulian music scene that is rich in talent, diverse languages, and unique visions," explains Savino. "We believe that internationalization is not just about taking artists beyond regional and national borders; it is above all about building relationships, sparking meaningful dialogue, and creating the conditions for musical projects to thrive over time. The support from Puglia Sounds Export is a vital opportunity to continue this journey and tell the story of our region’s cultural pluralism through music." (9colonne)
