Peroni’s new CEO to strengthen Peroni’s position in the world

June 10 –Peroni - owned by SABMiller, one of the largest brewers in the world, headquartered in London - is one of the symbols of Italian beer. A success story that the new CEO, Tommaso Norsa, has every intention to use to strengthen the beer’s position into the future: "SabMiller - explains Norsa - has decided to invest in Italy because they strongly believed in the potential and power of our products. Together, we contributed €517 million to GDP, €623 million in taxes and 19.000 jobs along the supply chain. This year, we chose to invest €18 million in innovation and adaptation of our facilities in Rome, Bari and Padua." The new CEO also points out that the group was "the only one to increase its market share by 0, 7% (for a total of 19.9%). Our Nastro Azzurro, Italy’s best-selling beer in the world, is quickly becoming a flagship product for the whole SabMiller group: sales have increased by +5% in the UK and by +10% in the Asia Pacific area, including Australia. And I know this trend can only improve, especially in emerging markets, which are crucial to our business."
