From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
June 19 - Each piece is a miniature sculpture in the art of jewelry: gold, silver, platinum and palladium, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, corals and pearls are just some of the precious materials used by the many techniques that make up jewelry creations. Can the creativity, knowledge, craftsmanship and passion of distant cultures and traditions meet and join? To find out, you have to visit Japan’s unique exhibition of contemporary jewelry. Held in Tokyo, the display brings together eighty goldsmiths, forty Japanese Japan Jewelry Designers Association members and forty Italian members of the AGC (Contemporary Jewelry Association). They were paired up and exchanged techniques, approaches and styles related to art and culture in their respective countries, drawing inspiration for the creation of new works. These will be on display from Friday, July 3 to Saturday, July 11 at the Exhibition Hall of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo. The opening ceremony of the exhibition marks the fiftieth anniversary of the JJDA and is scheduled for Friday, July 3, from 4pm to 6pm. (red)
