(28 November 2018) The third edition of the Italian Cuisinne Week in the world has offered the Uruguayan public a rich programme of events, organised by the Embassy along with the Italian Cultural Institute, the Italian Academy of Cuisine, the Trentini in the World Association, and the Friends of Italy Group in Uruguay, an important association that includes academics, politicians, and local entrepreneurs of Italian origin. The aim of the initiatives was the promotion of authentic Italian gastronomy and its products through conferences, master classes, and tastings of typical dishes. During the week, ten restaurants in Montevideo and Punta del Este offered their customers a special menu designed for the occasion, coordinated by the Uruguayan section of the Italian Academy of Cuisine, which particularly focused on original ingredients.
