The retrospective "Ugo Tognazzi: Tragedies of a Ridiculous Man" will remain open until December 30th at the MoMa in New York. In collaboration with Luce Cinecittà, MoMa celebrates Ugo Tognazzi (1922-1990) with a retrospective of his career, which lasted four decades. The series includes 25 of his nearly 150 movies, including some of his unforgettable performances in: "The fascist" by Luciano Salce (1961), "La vita agra" by Carlo Lizzani (1964), "Porcile" by Pier Paolo Pasolini (1969), "La grande abbuffata" by Marco Ferreri (1973), "La proprietà non è più un furto" by Elio Petri (1973), "Amici miei" by Mario Monicelli (1975), "La cage aux folles" by Édouard Molinaro (1978) and "La tragedia di un uomo ridicolo" by Bernardo Bertolucci (1981). Along with Mastroianni, Gassman, Sordi and Manfredi, Tognazzi has been part of a small group of actors who created the Italian comedy.
