Sanremo Festival, the “Filling the Music” choir will liven up the city with surprise street performances of the centre

On the occasion of the Sanremo Festival 2025, Filling the Music, the pop choir that is conquering the web, will celebrate 75 years of the Festival with an hour-long medley of the 75 refrains of the Festival's winning songs from 1951 to today. Made up of children and teenagers from 5 to 15 years old, the group will perform from 14 to 16 February in a series of unique performances, singing surprise songs in the streets of the Ligurian city centre and involving the public that will crowd the streets. ‘It will be an hour-long journey into the heart of Italian pop music,’ says artistic director Tamara Brenni, ‘an exciting tale of the evolution, not only of music, but also of society. In the rehearsals, the transgenerational aspect was moving. Seeing adults and older people singing along with my group filled me with emotion. My children and I are excited and happy about this opportunity’. The project will not be limited to music but will add a strong intergenerational and social connotation. In fact, the group's rehearsals will be held on a rotating basis at ‘The Seven Homes for the Elderly’ of Lugano Istituti Sociali, to provide the guests with moments of joy and sharing. The Swiss Touring Club supports the project as Mobility Partner by sponsoring the bus transport that will take the young talents from Switzerland to Liguria. Launched in September 2016, Filling the Music aims to develop young singers through the dimension of the choir and group by performing covers of big names in song. The young artists have amassed over 150 million views on YouTube and over 250,000 subscribers to their channel. Among their most famous projects are covers of songs such as ‘Occidentali's Karma’ and ‘Volare’. Their covers have captivated audiences and caught the attention of internationally renowned artists such as Mahmood, Ligabue, Sean Paul, Gabbani, J-Ax, Ghali, Sergio Sylvestre, Vasco Rossi, Paola and Chiara, Alfa and Francesca Michielin. Filling the Music is not just music but team spirit. Being a real team is the aspect that distinguishes the 20 guys in the group, capable of moving through voice and movement by combining the energy of a modern pop repertoire with choreographed gestures. Artistic director Tamara Brenni, and her very young artists, have already been invited to the main local and foreign broadcasters, including Rai1, Rai2, RaiGulp, Rai Yoyo, RSI, RTS, SRF, Dreamworks TV and Canale Italia.
