Erbil – In the Atrush training area, located in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, 15 members of the Zeravani — the military police force of the Peshmerga — received their first mountain warfare training. The three-week course aimed to teach participants alpine techniques and proper equipment usage. The program then focused on movement and combat tactics in challenging mid- and high-altitude terrain, simulating hostile environments and unexpected situations. The training was organized and conducted by a Mobile Training Team made up of instructors from the 2nd Alpine Regiment, part of the “Prima Parthica” contingent led by Colonel Antonello Andreottola.
