Puglia's culinary diplomacy debuts in Munich

Munich – Once again, food takes center stage in diplomacy and international relations. This is the philosophy behind a new territorial marketing initiative presented by the Foggia Chamber of Commerce at the Italian Consulate in Munich. At the heart of the project is Apulian food and wine, positioned as a key driver for regional development.
Built around a business network agreement and supported by a dedicated landing page, the initiative promotes the "Gargano e Dauni" brand, highlighting how the food sector can power a new form of economic diplomacy.
The presence of Antonio Vasile, president of Aeroporti di Puglia—who recently launched direct flights from Puglia to New York—underscored the role of logistics in spreading not just people, but also flavors and culinary traditions across borders.
The "Apulian Gate" becomes a new starting point for storytelling that reimagines the region’s identity through the cultural power of its gastronomic heritage. The Munich event marks the beginning of a broader path where Apulian cuisine becomes not just an exportable excellence, but a tool of cultural diplomacy capable of fostering new partnerships and mutual understanding.
