Parma and Rwanda’s INES-Ruhengeri deepen collaboration in research and training

Kigali – The University of Parma recently welcomed a delegation from Rwanda’s INES-Ruhengeri (Institute of Applied Sciences) to discuss current joint initiatives and explore new opportunities for academic collaboration. The delegation was led by Vice Chancellor Jean Bosco Baribeshya and Theodore Habimana, head of the Computer Science Department.
They were received by Rector Paolo Martelli, along with Professors Paolo Ciampolini and Roberto Valentino, Deputy Director of CUCI – the University Center for International Cooperation.
The two institutions expressed satisfaction with the ongoing partnership, which includes faculty and student exchange programs, postgraduate training for INES-Ruhengeri staff, and joint research projects with European and Rwandan universities. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their cooperation.
During his visit, Baribeshya also met with CUCI Director Nadia Monacelli, in a fruitful exchange of ideas about future synergies and strategic directions in international academic cooperation.
