Ayr (Ontario) – Ecogest North America Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of Ravenna-based Ecogest SpA, has finalized the full acquisition of Greenbrier Landscaping Inc., a company with over 25 years of experience in urban and infrastructure landscaping in Ontario. The acquisition, valued at more than 3.3 million Canadian dollars, including assets and backlog, marks a significant step forward for Italian industry in the North American landscaping market—an industry worth over $23 billion annually between Canada and the U.S. This milestone deal, signed in Ayr, represents the first major acquisition in Canada’s road landscaping sector by an Italian company. The transaction was supported by an international legal and financial team: BonelliErede (Milan), led by attorney Gianfranco Veneziano; Pascale v Di Poce v Iadipaolo Law (Toronto), with legal representation by Joe Caposciolti; and Robert Pellegrino, partner at KBFP LLP, as financial advisor. The new board of directors at Greenbrier will include Valerio Molinari (President), Tommaso Molinari (General Director), Pietro Torchi Lucifora (Managing Director), as well as Nelson Medeiros and Fernando Tito, representing the Canadian partners. “We are consolidating our presence in Ontario,” said Valerio Molinari, “and looking ahead to further expansion—from British Columbia to the United States—to strengthen our leadership in the field of infrastructure landscaping.” In Italy, Ecogest manages more than 8,200 kilometers of roads and highways, making it one of the country’s leading operators in the sector. “Our growth continues,” added Molinari, “with new projects under development in North America and in key strategic regions for the Italian market, such as Lombardy.”
