Osaka – On June 29, a delegation from the University of Genoa took part in the opening of Liguria Week at Expo Osaka 2025. Representing the university were Vice Rector for International Affairs Paola Dameri, Vice Rector for Research Laura Gaggero, and delegates Marco Frascio, Davide Giglio, and Stefania Michelucci.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Ligurian team visited the Italy Pavilion and the dedicated regional area. Today, July 1, the spotlight turns to the University of Genoa with a day entirely dedicated to showcasing the institution’s research excellence and ongoing academic partnerships with Japanese universities.
From technical and scientific disciplines to humanities and social sciences, UniGe has built a strong network of collaborations across Japan. Highlights include an innovative double degree program in robotics. The day will also feature discussions on internationalization, academic mobility, and joint research initiatives.
To mark the occasion, the university will sign several Memorandums of Understanding with leading Japanese institutions, including a new agreement with Tohoku Gakuin University, Japan’s largest and most prestigious private university.
