Dortmund – The consular assistance desk set up by the Comites of Dortmund in November 2021 is expanding its reach across Germany. Beginning in September, and in cooperation with the ItalUil Germany patronage service, two new support branches will be operational: one in Hagen, on the first Friday of every month from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., hosted at St. Marien Church (Mariengasse 7); and one in Gevelsberg, every Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Italian Catholic Mission (Schulstraße 9).
The help desk, promoted by Comites, has already assisted over 3,000 Italian families in navigating the paperwork for electronic ID cards, passports, and AIRE registration. The initiative continues to serve as an important resource for Italians living in the consular district.
