University of Parma expands global partnerships with strategic visit to Vietnam

Hanoi – The University of Parma continues to expand its international outreach with a recent institutional visit to Vietnam. Maria Cecilia Mancini, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Mobility, led the mission aimed at strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new opportunities for collaboration with Vietnamese universities.
The visit followed the October 2024 delegation from Vietnam to Parma, and took the Italian delegation to Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. In Hanoi, Mancini met with Italy’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Marco Della Seta, and Embassy Attaché Marco Abbiati. Meetings with the Hanoi University focused on consolidating existing cooperation, while discussions with the Vietnamese National Universities of Forestry and Agriculture explored new potential collaborations.
At Da Nang University of Economics, the agenda included the development of a joint Double Degree program. In Ho Chi Minh City, at the University of Industry and Trade, Mancini also took part as keynote speaker at ICA 2025 – International Conference on Agri-Food & Sustainable Development – and discussed mobility exchange projects and another potential Double Degree.
The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Parma and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, represented by Vice-Rector Le Thi Hong Anh.
