Venice – President of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia welcomed Austria’s new Consul General in Milan, Wolfgang Lukas Strohmayer, at Palazzo Balbi, the regional government’s seat. Also present was Christoph Plank, Austria’s Commercial Delegate.
The meeting served to reaffirm and strengthen the already excellent collaboration between Veneto and Austria across key sectors, including the economy, manufacturing, agribusiness, and tourism. Discussions touched on shared priorities and development strategies, with particular attention to the aerospace industry and technological cooperation.
Both sides highlighted the longstanding ties and common interests that continue to fuel strong cross-border relations between the two regions.
