“Love Makes You Fly”: Alex Rossi Drops new turbo-disco anthem and video

Paris – Since 2012, Alex Rossi – often described as “the most Italian of French singers” – has brought back the flavor of Italian pop with a spritz twist to French audiences, alongside Arnaud Pilard and Romain Guerret from the cult French band Aline. From L’ultima canzone to Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore and Faccia a faccia, Rossi has built an international following. His songs have been remixed by top electronic producers and featured in films, TV shows, and major fashion campaigns (Dior, Pucci).
In Italy – the land of his roots – Rossi is a regular guest at Disco Stupenda events (alongside icons like Pino D’Angiò, Ryan Paris and Ken Laszlo), and frequently airs on Rai Radio 2. He has also written songs for renowned French producer Yuksek (Fantasia) and Milan-based italo-disco duo Italoconnection (L’Haçienda).
Now, Alex Rossi is back with a bang: L’amore fa volare (Love Makes You Fly) is an irresistible turbo-disco track and the first single from his upcoming album rital, to be released by Kwaidan Records, the label of Nouvelle Vague’s Marc Collin. The track is co-written and produced by Paul de Homem-Christo – better known as Play Paul – a key figure of the French Touch 1.0 movement (Crydamoure, Gigolo Records, Kitsuné).
Both the original and club versions of L’amore fa volare channel the energy of an Italian Blue Monday, built on a rare sample found at a flea market in Bologna. The music video, now available on YouTube, is directed by Marco Dos Santos.
