Copenhagen – On 29 August, on the sidelines of the EU Informal Foreign Affairs Council, Vice President of the Council and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani met in Copenhagen with Italian companies operating in Denmark, Danish companies with investments in Italy, as well as representatives from the local academic and scientific community. The meeting, held at the Italian residence, provided an opportunity to present to both Italian and Danish business representatives the opportunities offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Growth Diplomacy” initiative. The Minister also introduced a guide prepared for Italian companies interested in investing in Denmark. Meanwhile, ICE President Matteo Zoppas, joining via video link, highlighted the role of the Institute and its network of local contacts, which will collaborate with Embassies and Consulates to ensure ever-closer coordination with businesses. The event demonstrated the dynamism of Italian commercial presence in the Kingdom, as reflected by excellent bilateral trade figures, which exceeded €7 billion in 2024 and grew by approximately 12% in the first half of 2025, with Italian exports to Denmark increasing by an impressive 15%.
