From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Amsterdam – The Italian Cultural Institute in Amsterdam, in collaboration with the Polanentheater, will showcase two performances by the Italian dance company Con.Cor.D.A. – Consorzio Coreografi Danza d’Autore – as part of the inaugural edition of DanceXchange 2025, an international contemporary dance festival fostering dialogue between Italy, France, and the Netherlands.
On September 13, the program features “Me pareva ’na favola” by Leila Ghiabbi, winner of the 2022 Donne da Palcoscenico award, addressing the theme of domestic violence, and “La Nona” by Flavia Bucciero, inspired by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and dedicated to the relationship between humanity and nature. On September 14, Bucciero will also lead a contemporary dance masterclass open to professionals and students.
The choreographies are produced by Con.Cor.D.A./Movimentoinactor Teatrodanza, with the support of Italy’s Ministry of Culture, the Tuscany Region, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Amsterdam.
