Cristina Marocco shines on French stages with two new productions

Paris – Italian actress and singer Cristina Marocco, who has lived in Paris for over two decades, is currently performing in two productions across French theaters.
In La lettre d’Italie, she stars alongside celebrated French actor Bruno Putzulu — a César Award winner — in a play that delicately explores themes of migration, belonging, and the impossible act of cutting one’s roots.
In addition, Marocco continues to tour with Un air d’Italie: A Journey to the Origins of Italian Song, a blend of music and storytelling that traces the poetic evolution of Italy’s musical heritage — from Neapolitan classics to the earliest baroque songs.
Born in Turin, Marocco trained in dance, music, and theater before moving to France, where she achieved fame with her duet J’ai tout oublié alongside Marc Lavoine — a song that has since become a staple of contemporary French pop. Over the years, she has appeared in television series and major primetime shows, becoming one of the most recognized Italian artists on the French cultural scene.
