Mylin - The Snowboard Parallel World Cup season is set to begin on the Chinese slopes of Mylin, where two parallel giant slalom races will be held on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December.
These opening events mark the first major international competitions in a season that will eventually lead to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina, where the discipline will be staged at the Livigno Snow Park.
With reigning world champion Roland Fischnaller sidelined after a recent injury, head coach Cesare Pisoni has selected fourteen Italian athletes for the opening weekend. The team includes Maurizio Bormolini, last season’s overall World Cup winner, along with Daniele Bagozza, Edwin Coratti, Mirko Felicetti, Marc Hofer, Fabian Lantschner, Aaron March, Gabriel Messner and Tommy Rabanser. The women’s team features Elisa Caffont, Jasmin Coratti, Lucia Dalmasso, Elisa Fava and Sofia Valle.
Qualifying runs will take place in the morning, followed by the final rounds starting at 6:30 a.m. Italian time on both race days.
