Vancouver – ICE is organizing a collective Italian participation at Grocery and Specialty Food West 2026, taking place in Vancouver on April 21–22. The annual event, hosted by the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG), brings together retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and producers of specialty foods and non-food grocery products. Buyers from across Canada attend the show in search of innovative products and new market opportunities.
In the agri-food sector, Italy ranked fifth among Canada’s supplier countries in 2024 - and first among European nations - recording an 11% increase compared to the previous year and 16% compared to 2022. The categories most imported from Italy include oils and animal/vegetable fats (+29.5%), dairy products (+20.6%), cured meats (+20.5%), processed fruit and vegetables (+14.4%), and baked goods and grain-based products (+9.6%).
