Singapore – Italian photographer Camilla Matarrese is arriving in Singapore for a dual Italian-Singaporean residency program, organized in collaboration with Deck and the Fotografia Calabria Festival, with the support of the Italian Embassy in Singapore.

Concurrently, a selection of works by Singaporean photographer Alvin Ng, created during his recent residency in Calabria, will be exhibited at Shop–House by DECK from January 17 to February 28. Ng’s work reinterprets the landscapes of southern Italy as liminal spaces, infused with the myth of Faun, the ancient god of forests and prophecy. Drawing on ancient woods, licorice roots, and artifacts from the Sibari Archaeological Museum, his photographs weave a suspended narrative where nature, myth, and memory intersect.
