Wine Paris: Sicily raises the bar, with more space planned for 2027 to strengthen its presence

Paris – “Sicily won over Wine Paris 2026. With pride and determination, our wineries brought to the heart of Europe not only wines of outstanding quality, but the very soul of an island steeped in culture, history and passion”. So said Luca Sammartino, Regional Councillor for Agriculture of the Sicilian Region, commenting on the participation in Wine Paris of 41 Sicilian wine producers, who explored international markets alongside Irvo and the Regional Government of Sicily. “We look to the future with determination”. Sammartino continued. “We will keep investing in international promotion, wine tourism, training and innovation”. Wine Paris 2026 presented a united Sicily – diverse in character yet speaking with a single, confident voice. The 2026 edition saw a marked increase in participation, rising from 25 wineries in 2025 to 41, prompting serious discussions about future expansion. “Requests to take part have doubled”, explained Irvo Commissioner Giusy Mistretta, “but due to space constraints it was not possible to accommodate all the wineries that wished to attend. For this reason, we have already opened discussions with the fair’s organisers to secure additional space dedicated to Sicily at the next edition, so as to meet the growing interest among our producers”.
