Zurich – The winners of the second edition of the Premio Mendrisio, a research scholarship and residency dedicated to the history of architecture for young Italian scholars, will present their work to students of the Zurich Art High School on 24 February at 7:00 pm.
The research projects were carried out at the Archivio del moderno in Balerna, Canton Ticino. Elena Sofia Moretti will present her study titled “Emilio Battisti and the Teaching of Architecture During the Years of ‘Experimentation’ at the Politecnico di Milan”.
Marco Felicioni will instead discuss his research “Ticino: An Idea of the City. Aurelio Galfetti and the ‘Reflection Group’ on AlpTransit”, focusing on urban and infrastructural thought in the region.
The initiative aims to bring advanced academic research closer to younger students, fostering dialogue between scholarship and education.
