Bogotá – An Italian-language theater course organized by Ponte tra Culture Colombia and La Gruta, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, will begin on March 3 in Bogotá. The workshop offers an engaging and educational experience for learning Italian and exploring Italian culture through theater. Participants will use a variety of learning tools, including conversations, theater games, acting exercises, improvisation, dramatic readings, scene staging, songs, and actor training. The course is open to people of all ages, regardless of their level of Italian or previous stage experience. The group will benefit from participants’ varying levels of language proficiency and acting background. The workshop will focus on developing creative material, memorizing texts in Italian, working with songs, and exploring cultural elements. The course will center on the work of playwright, novelist, and short story writer Luigi Pirandello. Classes will be held in Italian and led by Italian director Gianluca Barbadori, Italian-Colombian actress and singer Valentina Blando, and Colombian actor and researcher Francisco Villamizar. Sessions will take place every Tuesday from March 3 through June 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Italian Cultural Institute in Bogotá. (9colonne)
