From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA/ICE) is organizing a collective Italian pavilion at Grocery & Specialty Food West, taking place in Vancouver on April 21–22, 2026. Held annually by the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG), the event connects retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and producers of specialty food and non-food products for the grocery channel. Buyers from across Canada attend the show in search of innovative products and new solutions to introduce to the domestic market. Italy continues to strengthen its position in the Canadian agri-food sector. In 2024, Italy ranked fifth among countries exporting to Canada—and first among European nations—recording an 11% increase over the previous year and a 16% rise compared to 2022. The main product categories imported by Canada from Italy include vegetable and animal oils and fats (+29.5%), dairy products (+20.6%), cured meats (+20.5%), processed fruit and vegetables (+14.4%), and bakery and cereal-based products (+9.6%).
