Prague – As is customary, the Bianca d’Aponte Award, the event that for 22 years has spotlighted emerging female singer-songwriters and high-quality music, brings some of the winners and finalists from previous editions to perform in spring concerts across Italy and Europe. This year, the first event will take place on March 5 in Prague at the Italian Cultural Institute. The occasion also marks the reopening of applications for the Award’s 22nd edition. As always, participation is free of charge and open to all musical genres, from alternative rock to urban, from jazz to world music. The deadline is March 30, 2026. The application form and official rules are available at www.premiobiancadaponte.it. The finals will be held at the Teatro Cimarosa in Aversa on October 23 and 24. The Prague event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Baroque Chapel of the Italian Cultural Institute and will feature Micaela Tempesta (winner of the 2025 edition and Critics’ Award co-winner with Nove), Lumen (2025 finalist), Giulia Pratelli (Best Lyrics Award 2018), and Gabriella Martinelli (2016 finalist). Joining them on double bass will be Ferruccio Spinetti, the Award’s artistic director. Admission is free with mandatory registration on eventbrite.it. (9Colonne)
