Prague – As part of the “Et Cetera | Dialogues” series, a cycle of meetings organized by the Fondazione Eleutheria to encourage reflection on the contemporary world together with some of Italy’s most distinguished intellectuals and scholars, the Baroque Chapel of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague hosted a discussion on Friday, February 27, with historian and essayist Giordano Bruno Guerri. In conversation with the Foundation’s president, Francesco Augusto Razetto, and before a full audience, Guerri – who also serves as president and general director of the Fondazione Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, the house-museum of Gabriele D’Annunzio in Gardone Riviera, and as newly appointed president of the Fondazione Nazionale Carlo Collodi – offered reflections on Italy’s historical and cultural events between the two World Wars, with references to contemporary issues. The event, held under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Prague and organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, opened with remarks by Ambassador Alessandro Gaudiano and IIC Director Marialuisa Pappalardo. The series will continue throughout the year at various venues in Prague, featuring guests such as psychiatrist and sociologist Paolo Crepet, philosopher Umberto Galimberti, judge Giuseppe Ayala, journalist and geopolitics expert Lucio Caracciolo, journalist and essayist Paolo Mieli, and historian and writer Alessandro Barbero.
