Zurich – The dance production La Dolce Vita: from Nino Rota to Hans Zimmer will be staged on April 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Theater 11 in Zurich. The event is organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Zurich. On stage are the dancers of the prestigious Balletto di Milano, with artistic direction by Carlo Pesta and choreography by Agnese Omodei Salè and Adriana Mortelliti. The show celebrates dance, music, and cinema, paying tribute to soundtracks that have contributed to the success of major films: from La Dolce Vita and Amarcord by Nino Rota, to Ennio Morricone’s scores for Once Upon a Time in the West and Cinema Paradiso, and Nicola Piovani’s music for Life Is Beautiful, as well as contemporary works by Dario Marianelli (Anna Karenina), Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream), Elliott Goldenthal (Frida), and Hans Zimmer (The Da Vinci Code).
