Vienna – Around 8,500 young scouts aged 11 to 16 from all over Europe and beyond – accompanied by over two thousand adult leaders – will arrive in Friuli Venezia Giulia for Eurojam 2027, the large European scouting gathering scheduled between July and August 2027. For the occasion, dedicated scout camps will be set up in the areas of Ampezzo and Socchieve, in the province of Udine, and guided tours will be organized to explore the region from a naturalistic, historical, and cultural perspective. “An event of this magnitude is not only an extraordinary showcase for Friuli Venezia Giulia but also an investment in tomorrow’s tourism,” commented Sergio Emidio Bini, Regional Councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism. “Thousands of European scouts, many of whom will set foot in our region for the first time, will take home an unforgettable experience connected to our landscapes, our mountains, and our hospitality. We are confident that many of them will return as adults with their families. Eurojam 2027 is an opportunity we intend to fully seize, working from now to ensure top-level hospitality and to promote the Carnia area, and particularly Ampezzo and Socchieve.” The councillor met with the mayors of Ampezzo, Michele Benedetti, and Socchieve, Coriglio Zanier, along with regional representatives of Agesci, the Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts Association of Europe, focusing on logistics and promotion of the event organized by the Federation of European Scouting (FSE).
