Prague – Promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague and organized in collaboration with the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana and the Czech Student Philharmonic, the European Harmony concert will take place today, 10 April, at 7:00 PM at the Prague Conservatory.
Under the baton of conductor Amedeo Ara, one of Italy’s most promising young musical talents, ten musicians from the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana and ten from the Czech Student Philharmonic will meet in Prague for the first time and perform together as a single ensemble in perfect harmony.
The programme will showcase selections from the Italian and Czech musical heritage, featuring works by Antonio Vivaldi, Ottorino Respighi, Josef Suk, and Leoš Janáček.
More than a concert, European Harmony is an initiative designed to celebrate the friendship between Italy and the Czech Republic and their shared membership in the European Union through music, while highlighting the talent and enthusiasm of young performers.
