Budapest – Diagnostic techniques in art restoration will be the focus of the ICONS-X 2026 – International Conservation and Science Conference 2026, to be held in Budapest at the Restoration and Conservation Center of the National Museum of Fine Arts on April 23–24. Thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute, physicist Fauzia Albertin will take part in the conference. She specializes in the scientific analysis of cultural heritage materials, with expertise ranging from X-ray tomography to chemical analysis. The expert, currently working at CINECA in Bologna on the National Plan for Digitization focused on the digitization of Italy’s cultural heritage, will speak on the topic: “X-ray Tomography in situ – Digitization beyond visible light.” (9colonne)
