Montreal – As part of initiatives supporting the internationalization of Italian startups and innovative SMEs, the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is organizing the first 2026 edition of the Canada Start Up Program. The initiative is reserved for five Italian startups and five innovative SMEs based in Italy that are developing products or services with international growth potential. The program will take place in Montreal and Toronto from September 21 to 25. This is not the first time ICE has promoted initiatives to support the international expansion of Italian startups through coaching, training programs, and partnerships with local incubators and accelerators selected by offices within its foreign network. Similar initiatives include the Global Start Up Program and Italy RestartsUp, in addition to participation in several international events featuring dozens of Italian startups alongside numerous accelerators and incubators.
