Vancouver – Italy will also take part in the 2026 Vancouver International Children’s Festival. From May 28 to 31, the Teatro Telaio company will present its “Archipelago” at The Nest in Vancouver, an immersive theatrical installation brought to life through the actions of children. Inside a darkened space, visitors encounter a group of tiny, illuminated islands, each designed for a single young adventurer. On every island, children discover a question or playful request intended to spark imagination, reflection, or direct interaction. Guided by simple prompts such as “listen,” “look,” “feel,” and “tell,” each stage offers a new surprise — through sound, touch, or contemplation — creating a gentle and magical adventure in which children discover both the islands and themselves. The performance is presented in collaboration with the Vancouver International Children’s Festival and Boca del Lupo’s Micro Performance Series, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Toronto and Westcoast Families.
