Nairobi – The Italian Trade Agency (ICE) is organizing a collective participation of innovative startups and SMEs at GITEX Kenya, which will take place from 19 to 21 May in Nairobi, Kenya. The trade fair, AI Everything Kenya Expo, will be held on 20 and 21 May at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), preceded by the Inclusive AI Everything Summit, which will open the event on 19 May with a series of conferences at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi. The debut of GITEX in Nairobi in May 2026 confirms Kenya’s status as the “Silicon Savannah,” positioning it as a technological hub and a key reference point for artificial intelligence in East Africa. The event aims to unlock an economic potential of $2.4 billion, transforming the region into a strategic platform for global innovation. Within this context, ICE positions Italy as a key partner, leading a mission of outstanding national startups and SMEs. The selection will focus on AI solutions applied to critical sectors such as agritech, healthcare, smart cities, education, and inclusive digital finance, facilitating participants’ access to international investors and local financial networks.
